New build: i3 2120+7850 or i5 3570+6870

I'm building a gaming rig for a friend and I was wondering what would be a the best use of my budget. I have about $350 to spend on CPU and GPU, and was wondering wondering what combo would be best. Right now I'm stuck between an i3 2120+HD7850 and an i5 3570+HD6870. Which would be better for overall gaming performance? Or are there any better suggestions?

If it's strictly a gaming rig and you are after the fastest frame rates, I'd go with the i3 and the faster HD 7850. The dual core i3 2120 w/HT can keep up with any card. The i5 would be the better processor for future upgrades however.

As clutchc had mentioned the i3-2120 does come with a better video card but the i5 has a better future of going to college, having kids, and raising up a family and carrying on his legacy.

get the i3 and 7850 and replace the i3 when you have the cash for a sandy or ivy i5 lat

i got i3 2120 and 7850 1gb it is a good processor but cant be help for a long time...
