Problems with LiteOn DVD

I have LiteOn 32/12 DVD drive and a problem. When I insert anykind of media into the drive my system hangs and displays following msg: error in vxd ___ was called
from vxd scsihlp(03) + < number >

This occured the first time after I installed nero burning software. The system crashed before entering windows, I removed nero in safe mode and then system crashed after entering windows. Then I removed Adaptec software and now it 'only' hangs when I insert a media into the drive.
Before installing nero the drive functioned without any problems.

So, if anyone has any ideas what I could do, I would be pretty happy indeed.

This will take a few steps..To make it easy, open windows explorer ..scroll dwn left colm to windows..open the entire folder..open SYSTEM folder in right colm...go to folder mnamed IOSUBSYS andopen..scroll dwn to file scsi1hlp.vxd..rename vxd to vx1...reboot..you will be happy..Bill

Just an add on..the file was a hang on, or hang over, from Adaptec
