first you'd want 4 gb of ram.

then you probably need a psu to be able to run a new card.

and last the gpu which I would suggest a 6850 or less.

thats a lot of money needed. ram-$40 psu-$40 and gpu- $100-150

^^ might grab another stick of ram. What PSU do you have? If you don't know, something like a 6670 should be able to drive a 1600x900 display pretty well.

For 1600x1200 I would recommend the HD 6850, it would be able to play all games at High settings at 1600x1200 resolution while the 6750 will not. A 6670 is a no-no if you want to play at High settings. You can also find it for a very good price these days.

Also I would change the motherboard to an LGA 1155 socket type as well as upgrade to an i5-2500k. If you feel that is too expensive I would recommend the i3-2100 instead.

Ram should be upgraded to at least 4GB.

Also i cannot purchase HD 6850 its too expensive as it will cost me 20,000 INR. I am looking to purchase a graphic card between 7,000 INR to 10,000 INR.

who said to you that hd 6850 is about rs 20,000 its about rs 10,000 and in hardware shop it will cost more cheaper but if u want to buy it fom online flipkart would be the best side.

sapphire hd 6850 1gb rs 9904 this is one of the best brand it will give you better performance {good luck}.

Never heard of that brand before, plus it's not 80+. I'd be cautious about the load you put on it.

this brand is on india and it is the cheapest psu in india now and yes its not 80+ its very bad psu.

Did he say whether he is on a 32 bit OS? If so he won't be able to utilize the full 4 GB so he may want to get a 64 bit OS as well.
