So i'm coming from consoles and seen the light in playing games on a PC, the graphics are amazing and my current laptop can't handle the games I want to play. So i decided to build my own PC. I picked the parts already and would love some opinions on my choices.
You can check out my $850 build here: http://www.squidoo.com/electronicandmore
The 7850 overclocks really well, though performing less than the 570 it can overclock to out perform the GTX 580 and run cooler. Also the OCZ 750w gives you a PSU that can handle future Crossfire or SLI. The Asrock Extreme3 Gen3 Z68 gives you all the features of your Asus board for cheaper and OC's just fine. The i5 2500K can overclock vs your i3 2105 that cant.
Seriously. I'm not saying that I have the best build ever. But probably one of the better bang for your buck templates.
I say this because almost all Z68 boards can overclock the Sandy Bridge chips to 4.5ghz+ (honestly though after 4.6ghz it's just ignorant to go higher for anything other than prestige since you'll just be burning out your CPU). The Asus boards, all asus boards, are inflated in pricing imo, People say Asus is good, I respect that. But when you have to mark your 1st Gen3 support board $50 above the competition it's just stupid.
Plus the fact the Asrock can overclock to the same level as the Asus, the Asrock has 8x/8x which is all you'll need. You save $50, you get Gen3 support. And similar performance. Any motherboard performance difference is so small that it's just stupid to spend $50 on less than 1% of performance difference.
