Hi,

I have had my current laptop for about 4-5 years, and feel that the processor is a little slow right now, so I want to upgrade the CPU. This laptop was bought in 2007 Black Friday best buy. Gateway Tl-1620. AMD Turion 64 x2 1.8ghz.

Current CPU: AMD Turion 64 x2 Tl-56 1.8GHZ Dual Core
http://products.amd.com/en-us/NotebookCPUDetail.aspx?id=7&f1=AMD+Turion%E2%84%A2+64+X2+Dual-Core+Mobile+Technology&f2=&f3=&f4=1024&f5=S1&f6=&f7=&f8=&f9=False

Upgrade CPU: AMD Turion 64 x2 Tl-64 2.2 GHZ Dual Core

Their sockets are the same (S1), but they have different sizes. 90nm SOI v.s. 65nm SOI. I have no clue what that means. Would they still fit, and whats the difference.
Laptop Specifications: http://support.gateway.com/s/Mobile/2007/Triton/1014881R/1014881Rsp2.shtml

Im also looking to upgrade to 4gb of RAM I hear that aside from DDR2 PC-5300, DDR2 PC-6400 also work. Is this true?

Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated.
