Hello all.

Funny problem with my 6600, hope someone can shed some light on it...

I've a midi ring tone on my phone...it plays happily via the Gallery, and
when I select it as my prefered ring-tone, it succesfully plays the preview
of it.

However, my phone then refuses to play it for any incomming calls, and
reverts back to the default ringtone.

I've checked that i've still got my midi tone selected as the incomming
alert...

I've checked that I've not got any of my "groups" to use a different tone...

And i've checked that the midi file works on my phone, as stated above...

Any ideas? Cos i'd love to have Bob Marleys "We're Jamming" playing,
instead of the bleedin' nokia default.

Cheers,
Michael.

hi Michael,

I had this exact problem with my phone this morning, nokia had no clue to
fix it... but I did!!!

open up that midi tone in recorder, then choose "save".

Then point your profile to where you saved that new midi file.

I did this and it fixed the problem.

If you put those tones in gallery>sounds>tones, move it to digital sounds
and it will play as a ringtone. I had the same problem. I don't know why but
when I put in in "tones" gallery it would't play as ringtone, moving it to
"digital sounds" everything is ok. Hope it helps.
