a quality 550w+ (43a+ on the 12v rail) will be more then enough, you will be around 350w total system power while gaming

Core i7 Test System Specs
- Intel Core i7-3960X Extreme Edition (3.30GHz)
- x4 2GB G.Skill DDR3-1600(CAS 8-8-8-20)
- Gigabyte G1.Assassin2 (Intel X79)

First, newer components take less power than older ones, so you don't need as much power as you might think.

Second, by quality brand ct meant something like corsair, seasonic, or antec. Alpine is not a quality brand. Look for a powers supply that is 80plus (bronze, silver, gold, or platinum) certified.

550w should be enough, but you could get a little more if you're overclocking.

i remeber when i have the amd thlon x4 .4gb ram gtx 560ti and 650w psu but the brand was alpine. and the psu just burn. so how 550w is inaf for that build?

because a quality 550w PSU will offer 550w continuously and peak above that mark and a cheap 550w unit will basically call it quits at 325w like yours did since with those specs, your probably never broke 325w.

for $50, you won't find a better PSU
