Radeon 4350 and 250W

Hi, i was wondering if my system could run VisionTek ATI Radeon HD 4350 found on this page:

http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B002AKKMNI/sr=8-1/qid=1327027296/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&qid=1327027296&sr=8-1&seller=

I have a Compaq PC from HP with the specifications here:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c02679776&lang=en&cc=us&taskId=135&contentType=SupportFAQ&prodSeriesId=5035292&prodTypeId=12454

My computer has a 250W PSU and really don't want to change that and this card is the only one i can find that seems to be able to run it just looking at the requirements. I know it's possible to get better cards at even lower prices but again my PSU is very small and i don't want to change it.

Does anyone think it will work? Please help.

Yes, it will work. Just don't try overclocking the HD4350 and you should be fine.

  3. here is the product requirment the hd 4350 will work on that psu easily if u have a psu of good brand otherwise it could be riskier.

buying an hd 4350 will be more helpful and low riskier then the hd 6450 but if that card works works without any problem that would be a great advantage for that psu. :heink:

    here is hd 6450 requirments.

  4. I don't know why they put 400W there, I think they want to be really really safe. I think it will be fine, as it is the lowest power consuming GPU out there now, and the power consumption I think should be near to 4350 :).

Because not everyone has modern, efficient systems and because some folks stuff every possible device into their rigs. The recommended rating is just that, a recommendation, a guide, or simply something to keep in mind. Inadequate power can damage components, particularly GPUs.

I ran a 4550 on a 250w PSU with a 50Mhz Overclock and a Core 2 Quad and it had no problem. He'll be fine.
