I have ASUS NVidia ENGTX 460 768MB Top GPU. Have these 8 blue/green ish dots on top when booting to Windows 7 64bit (fresh install, new drivers). These dots always appear and I can't get rid of them (note boot logo was disabled through msconfig but even with logo on they still appear). If you check my uploaded video here for what they look like:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0_ze4vcgl0 go to 2:49 mark

I have tried to boot with Intel HD2000 (since it's Z68) and NVidia 460 disabled, no probs, no dots. Once I have the GTX 460 on these "dots" come back again.

Has anyone experienced same artefact on GPU?

I think it is just a driver bug... It doesn't really affect usage and is only there briefly so no-one has bothered to "fix" it. I had the same sort of issue with an older card. One day after an update it just stopped.

Yours may do the same. I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks for the info. Was a bit worried. I did have a similar issue with a spurious GPU before, but it didn't end too well.
Will try to uninstall the drivers and boot again, check for issues, install the newest drivers again and check for issues once more.
