Phenom X6 1055T gaming?

Is the Phenom X6 1055T a good proc for gaming? How well will it play games like BF3, Skyrim, etc...? What is the overclocking threshold?

Either a Sapphire Radeon HD 4850X2 or an EVGA GeForce GTX 460 1GB depending on which is better

The CPU will be fine for gaimg, the graphics cards you mentioned are crap....

Gaming is almost ALL about how much you spend on the card....

When we build a gaming Pc in my shops for a customer, the advice we give is to spend a MINIMUM of 50% of the cost of the whole machine on the card....

Just be aware that the vast majority of games only use two cores. A very small minority can use 4 cores. Not sure if BF3 in multiplayer mode can use 6 cores; in single player mode it only uses 2 cores.

I would rather get a quad core Phenom II X4 with higher clock speeds like the 960, 970 or 975.
