Best one I've found so far, I traded in my sennheiser pc350 for the logitech g930 and have absolutely no regrets. I found the pc350 great for games, not so good for music (which surprised me). The g930 handles both equally well imho, admittedly I'm no audiophile so someone with better ears may disagree. My only 'niggle' with the g930 is that they can't be used while charging, but I've worn them for 12 hours straight before they started beeping that they needed a recharge. That said, because they are wireless (love not being tied by a cable) they may be a tad heavy for some.
Hope that helps, Good luck.

Sorry, don't know of any retailers in India, I'm from New Zealand. As Tom's is an American site, unless people say otherwise, I take it that they're quoting in US$ and I'll link to a US site like newegg.

Edit: Just did a quick search and found this store in India. http://www.naaptol.com/price/826177-Logitech-Wireless-G...
It also looks like you can order them direct from logitech or amazon http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Wireless-Gaming-Headset-...

2nd Edit: Wow, just used the currency converter and that Indian site I linked to looks to be charging twice what the headsets are selling for elsewhere in the world. It looks like your cheapest option will be amazon.
Hope this helps, good luck.

Are you sure they don't ship to India? I found this Indian site that says otherwise. >> http://technofriends.in/2010/08/16/logitech-wireless-ga...

Also you could try here >> http://www.clickprice.in/cat-2-electronics/i-2-amplifie...

You might also wish to look at the G35, a wired version of the G930 >> http://www.flipkart.com/logitech-pn-981-000116-headset/...

You may be able to get intouch with these guys to see if they know of a retailer you can buy from. >> http://www.cyberindian.net/2010/08/07/logitech-g930-wir...
They have a contact email address at the bottom of the page.

As for 5.1 headsets, sorry, but don't know of any off hand. Further the whole 5.1, 7.1 thing is software driven as far as headsets are concerned. Reason is (from the info I've read) is that it's extremely difficult to put 5 or 7 speakers + a subwoofer in a pair of headphones, not to mention that it would make the headset very heavy to wear.
Good luck.

Matches my experience with the PC350 and the Xonar Xense. Good for gaming, not so much for music.

Depends. Different vendors focus on different sound signatures. Sennheiser, Grado, Audio Technica, Beyerdynamic, Denton, and others all make very good headphones, so its a matter of personal taste.

Wireless headsets won't even use the soundcard, so that kinda defeats the purpose.

Sorry, but you've exhausted my knowledge. Over the past 10 years I've gone through numerous headsets from altec lansing, sennheiser, plantronics, and logitech, but the G930 are the only ones I feel comfortable in recommending for both music and gaming. Although I've read some very good reviews about Turtle Beach headsets I personally don't know anything about how good or bad they are. Best of luck with your search.
