I have an entire mid-range computer planned out, but I can't seem to decide on a quality PSU for it. These are the parts.

E6600
Mushkin 2 gigs 533 or 667 RAM
Foxconn mobo
320Gb Seagate HD
EvgA 7600 GT

This rig was designed with gaming and mild overclocking in mind, but its main purpose is to edit video. I just need a PSU around $80

The good news is that your PC will not use much power. The following is an estimate of how much power will be drawn from the 12v rail; which is the most important rail:

E6600 @ 3.0GHz.................................68w CPU Power Consumption
7600GT (not overclocked.....................36w GPU Power Consumption
320GB Hard Drive...............................16w
DVD Drive..........................................16w
2 120mm Case Fans............................12w

Total Estimated Power on 12v rail........148w
Total Estimated Amps on 12v rail........12.3a

All other components draws power from the 3.3v or 5v rails.

You can run this system with a good 300w PSU with no problems. But you'll probably want a larger PSU for some upgrade breathing room especially if you want one of those firebreathing GPUs.

I recommend the following:

FSP Group (Fortron Source) AX450-PN 450w - 29 amps on the 12v rail - $54 + shipping
