Hi,
after successfully replacing a motherboard, i am unable to connect to the internet at all. i have no network adaptors showing in device manager, and the "ethernet controller" in other devices has no drivers and therefore doesnt work. I have no idea if i need this or what it does.
i have done an ipconfig/all which returns:
host name..........Tom-PC
primary Dns Suffix........ [this is blank]
node type.........mixed
ip routing enabled......... no
wins proxy enabled....... no
tunnel adapter local area connection*7
media state ............... media disconnected
connection specific dns suffix........... [blank]
description..................teredo tunneling pseudo interface
physical address.........02-00-54-55-4e-01
dchp enabled..........no
autoconfiguration enabled...............yes
the problem is not my modem or internet stuff as it works fine on my laptop. I'm not 100% sure that the new motherboard recognises the ethernet cable going in to it, as i had problems at first with it not recognising usb mice. i fixed this in bios so maybe there is a solution there?
thanks for your help,
Tom
