Hello guys and girls, im not really new in here, been lurking for years!! But since this is my first post, i just want to say Hi to all!!

My name is Joao and im from Portugal. Im a gaming/design junkie, and im searching for a new rig to satisfy my needs under a tight budget :hello:

I aprecciate all the help i can get to make a good value purchase that can hold me for a few years!! Best place i could think of was Tom's hardware. Tons of articles, tons of comparisons, and a good comunity always willing to help

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Ok here it goes :

Approximate Purchase Date: Between 1 and 15 of April

Budget Range: Since im in Portugal,Europe its 750€ , equivalent to 1000$ aprox.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: 1st - Gaming , 2nd - Design programs such as 3DS max, Catia, Photoshop

Parts Not Required: Monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: ont know if you can access it but its this one

Country: Portugal

Parts Preferences: Intel processor and Nvidea graphics card ( always been an ATI user but im fed up with them and theyr bugs with certain games )

Overclocking: Not really, done it a few times didnt feel it changed significantly to worth the risk.

SLI or Crossfire: No

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: Im not picky :p

This is my build, based on an article i found here in Tom's hardware ( sorry dont remember the name but it was something like medium gaming setup )

CPU - Intel Core i5 2500k , 3.3GHz cache L3 6MB - Socket LGA 1155 + Cooler Master Hyper TX3-Evo -----200€

MOBO - MSI Z68A-G45(3) - Socket 1155 Chipset Z68 ATX ----- 130€

GPU - Nvidea MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr II - 1Gb DDR5 , PCI-e 2.0 -----210€

RAM - Corsair PC Vengeance Performance 2 x 4 GB DDR3-1600 - PC3-12800 - CL9 ------46€

POWER - OCZ ZS Series 750W -----80€

PC CASE - Zalman PC Z9 Plus -----70€

HD - Western Digital 7200rpm 500Gb 16Mb cache ( for the main one ) + 2 more Satas i have here 500Gb each ----- 0€ i'll be passing the ones i have on this PC

This totals up to 760€ aprox, and i wanted to know if this is a good setup, or if i could do a little better for the same or even less ammount of money.

Also i would like to notice a couple of aspects in this build. The PC case i chosen is a bit expensive, but i dont know much about them, i just wanted one that has a nice air flow going , not very ugly. Also i dont know if 750W are too much for this simple rig.

Feel free to coment, make sugestions, anything, i would apreciate very much   . If you think you can make a better rig, please do coment, im very much interested in hearing your opinion!

Thx for taking the time to read ;)
