I have a D-LINK dir 825 router. I have certain areas which are not good using wireless.
Virgin have just sent me their stock D-LINK dir 615 router.
I intend to possition the 615 upstairs, leaving the 825 downstairs at (GCHQ)
Is it possible to hard wire the 615 into the 825?
Would this help extend the coverage/ range of my WI-FI, and would this also act as a switch for extra hard wired items ????

yes and yes

log into the 615

setup your wireless security to match the 825 settings

disable the DHCP and change the LAN IP to 192.168.0.253

finally connect the 615 to the 825 by connecting one of the four LAN ports of the 615 to the 825. (do NOT use the WAN/Internet portof the 615)
