I'm trying to downsize the overkill but the more I research every part of my new build, the price keeps adding up. I need a few suggestions. I would like this to be long-term, maybe 5-6 yrs. I want to upgrade, of course, but later on.
So here we go:

Approximate Purchase Date:This year, just waiting for good deals.

Budget Range: $700 w/ taxes, max limit $800

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Civ5, video editing, browsing, watch movies, hard-core gaming would be the least.

Parts Not Required: My old Dell parts: monitor, keyboard, mouse, 160 GB hard drive( for backup), DVD-RW, speakers.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg

Country:USA

Parts Preferences: Any brand that's within the budget.

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: No

Parts I will be using:

if you want to trim something off a cheaper case since you don't need to worry about front usb3 as you know anyhow. you can always mod it for fans. :)
but thats just picky . . looks like you did your homework.

I might use your recommendation but I might have to up the wattage for my PSU.

Well a Case and the PSU are the things you don't have to cheap out specially the case as it's the face you see for years lol.

this psu is better and on a better deal too

corsair cx500 for 59.99$>39.99$ after rebate or that promo code something.

overall that should help make some stuff cheaper.

for the total of everything including rebate is 748.92$ not sure with the shipping fees or tax.

this is already a steal price since there are some few dollars discount promos with some parts. in my country you can buy all that for 1,093.78$ not including the shipping fees if you want it to be delivered to you, or the transport fees (taxi) specially going home as it's safer than taking a bus.
