Hi all
I'm in love with my build which i chose parts here together with you :)
But i have a problem...a weird one:
I want to use WLAN adapter to access my router from my PC
but i get very low speed internet
Before i've bought a PCI WI-FI adapter,it was slow too,so i decided to go with the USB one and the results was same
I've tested this wifi adapter with my notebook at the same position of my PC,and it worked great
So i 'm sure something is wrong with my PC
Any help is greatly appreciated :)
MB is ASRock Extreme3 Gen3,firmware is latest, tried adapter with various usb places

Are you plugging it directly into the motherboard's USB 2.0 ports (at the back of your tower)?

I had problems with some devices when plugged into a USB 3.0 port.

Tried with back usb 3.0/2.0,front 2.0 and nothing changed...and i know that problem is not related to usb...because it was the same problem when i used PCI wifi adapter

What are some of the other specs for the laptop and pc? OS? do the pci/usb ports work well with other pci cards/usb devices? Are you using xfast LAN btw? I'm sure you've done this already, but try messing with that on/off as well.

I know this may be a little off topic, but...

Which pci wifi adapter did you use? I just got that mobo and built a new computer with it a week ago, and intend to get a pci wifi card this week. I'll let you know if it works okay or not.

I had a similar problem with my onboard and PCIe ethernet.

Find your NIC in the Device manager
Go in properties
Click on the Advanced tab
Click on Speed & Duplex (this setting might be named differently)
Make sure it's set to the speed of your wireless...

EDIT: Also, how slow is it?

Try the PCI card, you should get those options.

How are you measuring your speed?
If you put your laptop in the same place, do you get 3-4 mbps with the same test?
