Hello,
I work at a local computer repair shop and we are needing to replace our database server. This server is used to checkin computers to the shop. I have made an acronis image of the old server and restored it to the new machine. All went well. I instaled all of the new drivers for the new server as well. But when I connect up the new server it is not working correctly. With the old server I notice that it can ping it's static ip address when the network cable is unplugged. The new server cannot. I believe that is part of the problem.
How can I make the new server (Windows 2000 ADV server) ping its own static ip when the network cable is unplugged?
