my Dell computer shows a shutdown due to overheat and now will not stay on when trying to access internet..

open the case and check that the cpu and gpu fans are working...clear the dust out.

I have cleaned out the dust but to no avail....the fan does not seem to kick into high speed....

if there no video are there any beep coming from the pc at post...if there none..you want to try and round up a power supply and a video card. to see if one of those parts failed.
