More about build good enough
  1. short answer- yea that will work pefectly. I have a very simliar build and it does all that (even bf3 just not ultra)

    long answer

the cpu you have chosen is about to be replaced with ivy bridge- maybe wait for that to come out? (that should give you a price drop on teh cpu)

gpu- you also chose on on the old side soon to be replaced with the 600 series

case- simply a pos - check out haf 912 or antec 300/illusion

psu- great psu if you ARE NOT using sli

after market cooling- If your gettign a k series it means you want to overclock and to overclock u need after market cooling. Grab a cooler master 212+ evo- 30 bucks and cools down your cpu drasticly. Arctic silver 5 thermal paste is also a good buy.

If you dont' want to overclock grab an i2400 plus p67 or h67 board( whichever suits your needs)

    ram is fine
mobo- i have the same one works great

hes right about that-it not certified for this board- i think the reason why is you need an x8 x8 at least but this is x16 x4
  6. +1 for the Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3H-B3

Ahh thank you for pointing that out! another question i have is, will everything i've selected fit inside that case?
  8. i can't promise that. The case you have chosen is not very good- like i said check the coolermaster 912 plus- its great case and will last you through multible builds
  9. Thanks for all the replies guys. Another question i have is, i have a really old Pc from 2003/2004-ish, would i be able to re-use the case fans for my new build or am i better off just getting new ones? (not sure what size they are!)
  10. Oh another question, will the Mobo I've listed be Ivy-Bridge compatible, I've seen people saying Z68's will be okay but i'm confused!
