I just built a new PC for a friend and all seemed to be going well until it started booting up with a black screen with a blinking cursor. My first guess was boot order but SSD was priority. So now I'm thinking not enough power but I thought I did the math right and he still had about a 100w over head. So I'm reaching out to the community to see what you guys think. Like I said it loads gets past the bios setup and right when windows is supposed to load it just goes black with a blinking cursor.

I agree. I don't think its the PSU either. If I were you I'd wipe the SSD and re-install windows. Then I'd add all the updates -a little at a time. Get the latest drivers - online at their websites - not from the disk. But the only way I see it being the PSU is if it's faulty. Good luck.
