Less vram on Graphics card?

Hi all,
I have recently built a new system with an ati 7950 and an intel hd 3000 integrated. When I check my graphics card info, it says that my 7950 only has 2gb of memory when it should have 3gb, and it says that my intel hd has 3gb...
whats going on??

Have you installed the most recent driver for the graphics card? Try the most recent ones from their website as well as the ones that came with the card on a disc

Disable the onboard video in your BIOS. I don't know what make / model you have but on mine you can disable it by going through Boot Disk --> Onboard VGA --> Disable if External PEG present.

I'm sure it works pretty similar on Asus and Asrock configurations.
