Looking for a great graphics card for gaming.

I am looking to buy a great graphics card for gaming. Within the next month. $250 max after rebates.

I am going to be using this computer strictly for gaming.

I am building this computer from scratch and don't have anything right now.

I would like an ATI and I want to keep my parts fromn Tigerdirect.com

If anyone has any ideas, please, let me know.

the hd 6950 2gb msi twinfrozr iii will better you can overclock its core clock to 1ghz easily its an good one and its cooler is very nice the two fan is always better then one if you can arrange $20 more the get this one:-

I'd go with 560 Ti Hawk. Not only it's already factory overclocked by a lot, you can overclock it even more for light speeds.

You're wrong. The test you linked is generic one and compares HD6950 with not overclocked GTX 560 Ti. The hawk version (or any other 950 MHz+ overclock) GTX 560 Ti will outperform any HD6950.

first of all the link i gave both gpus are non overclocked and yes the msi hawk gtx 560 ti will perform better then a hd 6950 simple one but the msi twinfozr iii hd 6950 will perform same as the hawk.

price wise the hawk gtx 560ti seems to be more better in performance.

it will be better to get an hd 6950 that will be better way to go it doesnt seem to be good in game but when you overclock it and unlock its shader units then it will perform like an beast.

A 560ti that is overclocked to 1.08ghz will outperform the overclocked 6950. It will even outperform the 570. And with nvidia's drivers being much better than amd's....

you are right after finding much reviews i realize that an gtx 560ti hawk will be more better.
