HD 6970 Crossfire Issue

Ok guys so I recentley bought a second 6970 to run in crossfire but when I installed it my computer suddenly slow down alot and all my games play a low frame rate or flicker constantly. Also all my benchmarks are extremely low. I did install these cards at two diffrerent times. First one was over two months ago and the second was two days ago. Any ideas?

In CCC select crossfire mode, and update tot he latest drivers!

I already tried that. It still is giving me problems. It works fine when I have one card in but as soon as I have two it starts acting funny. Lots of microstutter and everything runs poorly : /

what kind of power supply do you have?

850 Watt I think it is enough. But I think I may have just discovered the problem, On slot maybe a pci e 1.1 and the other 2.0

OK so I am runningtwo HD 6970s. My rig is struggling big time. I downloaded Trixx by sapphire and it says that one of my interfaces for my cards is pci-e 1.1 x16 and the other is pci-e 2.0 x16 could this be the issue of crossfire causeing alot of problems?

Yep, bandwith problems.

See what i do not understand is my specs for my motherboard says 2 2.0 ports but my card is reading 1.1
