I have only been into computers three weeks. So I am confused about all this stuff. I saw a youtube video where a Guy was playing BF3 on three tvs using a single MSI 6870. I ask what do I need to play BF3 with three monitors with out any lagging. I first was going to buy two 6890s but people said was two loud. Then I was told that a 6950 could not run three monitors playing BF3. So I was going to buy two of them and then I was told I should buy a 7970. I can get 6970 now at the same price as a 6950. I was told that you cant play BF3 with three monitors on a single 7970. I would need at minuim two 7970s or one 6990, Someone else told me a single 6990 was really two 6970s put in one card. if thats the case I could buy two 6970 and save 180.00, or buy two 6950 and save about 300.00. So I am confused lost and irritated. Oh I own a buisness tax id number for hobbies so I can buy stuff at wholesale. I just want to play BF3 with three monitors portait mode with no lag. Oh last thing to say I was also told my tigerdirect that I could play BF3 with three monitors on a single 6870 card without overclocking it and that all the stuff with fps and all the other stuff doesnt relly matter. They said after 8-10fps you cant tell anything because your naked eye want be able to see it. So please before I go and buy my GPU somebody just tell me what I can use to play BF3 with three monitors portrait mode with no lag Can I do it on a single 6970, should i Buy two 6970 since someone said its the same as one 6990. so whats the deall. I canbuy MSI 6970 cards for 279.99

I have just completed an eyefinity build for my brother with 3 22" monitors

specs:
i5 2500k
hd 6950
8gb g skill
it runs BF3 in eyefinity on medium with no problems at all and looks amazing

All depends on what settings your want to run the game at, if you want to run the game at ultra settings your going to need 7970 or 2 of them , otherwise you can run it on triple display on other gpu's but at lower details.
as a note though you want 2gb cards not 1gb ones due to the framebuffer size of that resolution. 1gb cards aren't going to cut it as well due to lack of memory

And to the OP I've asked about the same question today here: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/340868-33-crossfire-6870-eyefinity-setup#t2544851

So finaly my bro decided to go with 2x 6870 if your wondering. Its about the same price as a single 6970 but will perform bether, go for a 6970 only if you plan to had a second one.

When I've seen lowest price thought it was about lowest that could run on med or so quality. That wall of text was kinda hard to read for me. As for running BF3 in 5760p at ultra with 4xAA you can't realy ask for lowest price I'd say since it require 3x 6970 or 2x 7970 (the best GPU available ATM). A single one barely make it with no AA.
