ASUS P8Z77-V DELUXE and Ivy Bridge

Is the ASUS P8Z77-V DELUXE compatable with the new Ivy Bridge CPUs? I attempted to look this up, but I don't know much about computers and all I could find is "is compatable with 2nd and 3rd generation cores." So I guess if Sandy Bridge is 2nd gen and Ivy is 3rd, then yes, but I have no clue! Thank you for all your help!
