It's hard to say because Piledriver isn't even out yet, it won't be out until October. Until then we don't know how it will perform and if it will be worth upgrading.

probably not. probably wont even go in the same socket, and if your changing motherboards you may as well go to intel for gaming.

a ph ii x4 840 won't be bottlenecking a 550ti or vice versa. they're decent match for each other. even getting a pd 8 core won't improve gaming perf as in this case, the 550ti would be the limiting factor.

They're not the best brand in the world, but you will have a hard time finding an SSD for cheaper.

I have a 120gb OCZ Agilty 3, and I have no complaints.

A good SSD will give you more of a performance boost than any current CPU can.

I would try and find a faster SSD if I were you. Try and find one of their SATAIII ones, like the Agility 3 series.
