Using Mac Pro with two monitors

I have a 6 month old Mac Pro with the this graphics card:

I want to hook up a realtively new Vizio TV to this and use it as a second monitor. Should I be using an adapter with an HDMI (for sound) or and adapter with a VGA (no sound)? I've tried the adapter with the HDMI and the main dispaly went over to the Vizio and it kept on flicking in and out - maybe my cheap HDMI cable is to blame?

Stick with the HDMI and try a second cable. Mac Pros perform quite well with 2 monitors/displays. Double check that you fully insert the HDMI cable into both the HDTV and the adapter (if using one) and the video card.
