k. so i have a computer that i built. and im in need of a graphics/video card to play games.
I would like to run bf3/mw3/starcraft 2/skyrim/diablo 3 when it comes out, all on MAX----Ultra graphics.. so max being the lowest and ultra the highest.

Budget:$200
Manufacturer: doesnt matter nvidia/amd.. which ever is better!

Site to pruchace on ... newegg.ca

country: canada

so $200 or lower for a good graphics card that can play the following gamings on max to ultra settings : bf3/mw3/starcraft 2/skyrim/diablo 3.. and also some of the newer ones that might come out later on..

6870, and that's pretty much the best your gonna get unless you find a 560ti with rebates or something

I know this is over your budget, but this card with serve you well:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

It has excellent cooling and overclocking capabilities. Your system specs are very solid, and I wouldn't (personally) spend more money on the CPU than the GPU.

Anyway, if you are on a strict budget, you could go with lesser brother of GTX 560 Ti, a GTX 560:

It also has excellent cooling and overclocking capabilities, so it will stand the test of time and upcoming games.

Plus one to either the gtx 560 or the hd 6870. You can get 560 tis for 180.00ish to 200.00 if you send in rebates or find deals.

I say 6870 too.

It always bugs me a little bit when (and theres almost always one) someone asks something like "whats the best ____ under $___?" someone answers with something that costs more than the said amount.

He said Newegg CANADA, not U.S.
I would say that a GTX560 is probably the best bet, as a couple of those titles favor nVidia.
You may turn up a deal on a GTX560Ti, but I'm not sure you'll want to jump on it. You've got a Chokemax PSU, that I'm not sure I'd trust for more than half what's on its label, especially for an extended period of time.

6970 cheapest and best below 200$:

ATI: http://media.bestofmicro.com/Y/M/313582/original/amd%20...
vs Nvidia: http://media.bestofmicro.com/Z/4/313600/original/nvidia...

I duno for US prices but for CAN$ Radeon price just went down quite alot since the release of the 7000's series making NVidia mid range card totaly overpriced.

As for Ultra with 4xAA you'll need to spend more then 200$ for a game like BF3.

If you want to go for NVidia I'd wait till feburary when they will release kelper 2 their old card price should goes down just my 2 cents.

get a better psu (e.g. antec earthwatts 650w or corsair enthusiast 650 or seasonic psu) first if you want to run a powerful gaming gfx card. after you get a good psu:

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681... $190
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681... $195
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681... $200
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681... $180
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681... $200
gtx 560 and 6870 perform similarly. gtx 560ti outperforms both. his iceq and msi twin frozr have good coolers.
recommendations are based on price. look up the reviews of your chosen card.

I assume you mean 6870s. because no one can find a new 6970 from any country for under 200.00.

also to op you will not be able to play bf3 with ultra settings for under 200.00 at 1080 resolution. every other game you can nearly play at ultra, you will have to turn down AA (diablo 3 not sure about)
