Simple Question on Power Connections

If I were to use molex cable extensions, Is the current affect at all? I have a fan controller that needs to supply a certain amount of watts to each channel and I need to use this:

I would leve the 3 pin alone and just use the molex. this a bad idea?

It should be fine

Should work just fine, Wouldn't effect the power at all. I think you would need a crazy long extension to even effect the power draw from the power source.
