Just wondering, can using a box fan on a open tower case cool it down?
For example,in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EdxrKcdUTc&feature=plcp At the 2:10 mark,he has a box fan in the window blowing air into the opened case. Can this actually work,or can it cause damage to anything?

It can work, I know someone who uses a box fan for a laptop cooler, lol.

But it shouldn't hurt anything at all as long as it don't touch any component inside the computer. But there is always other solutions to fix a Overheating problem then using a box fan which might take up some room.

Ok,i was just wondering. I do plan on buying some components to cool things down. Someone told me before that doing that could lead to a lot of dust build up and stuff. Is that true?

Yeah, dust build-up is about the only issue. It'll work wonderfully besides that though, for a short while (I've done it myself before, lol).
