So i am looking to buy a new graphics card to replace my integrated card and found the gt 440. I know the gt 440 isn't all that great buts it is a step up(or 50 steps up) from a HD 4250. I know the recommended that i have at least 300 watts(which i have) and a 12v of 22a(which i have no idea about).

My PSU is made by lite-on
On the sticker it says
12v1 - 10a
12v2 - 13a

the model number for the psu is ps-6301-08a3

Please tell me if i have enough amps and if i can run this card.(because i don't know hot to calculate 2 rails. (And don't tell me to add them, because i don't think thats they way to do it. )

Oh ya it also says

12v1 and 12v2 not to go over 130w

Some specs that may help calculate watt usage

Phenom II x6 1065T Processor
6Gigs of ram

Tell me if the card will cause instability or not.

I also saw on newegg some guy who bought the saem computer (Same model) as me and said on his review that he bought a ZOTAC gt 440 card for his computer with no problems.

A GT440 only needs about 5 amps (60 watts) from the 12 volt outputs. [strike]You have enough power.[/strike]

Oops. You put up your second post the same time as I posted.

You are right. You cannot just add up the max current on each 12 volt rail and assume that it's the total 12 volt capacity of the PSU. 12v1 + 12v2 = 23 amps. If this were true, your PSU is large enough. But the label also says "130 watts total". That is only about 11 amps.

Your CPU is going to pull about 7 - 8 amps at full load. Your PSU is inadequate. It is not the total power. The lack of 12 volt capacity is the problem.

Really? Then whats with them saying it requires 22a? how many amps do i have? or do they just put that in case people with a lot of peripherals for their computer try to use it?

I am really skeptical because people say the psu might give up in some cases :(.

WAIT!
It actually says 3.3v and 5v rails not exceed 130W, does this make it better :(?

also says something like 12v1 and 12v2 not exceed 20a.

A GT440 can easily run on a 250W PSU. No issues.

HOWEVER, the GT440 is a really really really bad buy. You can get a HD6670 for the same price with less power consumption and almost double the performance.

Yes the GT440 is a really poor GPU (unless you already have it, in that case its amazing). The Radeon 5670 (if you can find one) and 6670 are much much better cards. They use less power and have more power. Less is more in this situation. It also will definitely run on a 300W PSU, I've recommended it many times.
