Hey there, i've been thinking about two things recently, whether or not to buy another GPU or upgrade my existing CPU.

Currently I have an AMD X4 955, along with a Nvidia GTX 560-Ti (1GB).
For a better gaming performance, would I be better buying another GTX 560, or should I upgrade my CPU, I was thinking of an i5 or something, but it would mean replacing my motherboard and ram too.

(Using 4GB of ram in my system at the moment, along with Win 7 64bit)

Thanks in advance!

Most games are GPU limited so adding another 560 will definitely help more but you should upgrade the CPU as soon as you can.An i5 2500k will give you a notable boost in performance

Well its kinda a weight of balance on spending, so you can look like it like this: Get basically a whole new computer and another copy of windows 7 if you want to keep your current format on your old drive. thus needing a new HDD, New ram new mobo and CPU.If you wanted to keep your data on your old drive. now if you were just gonna overwrite everything, then even still more ram, and i5(around 175 to 200$) and a decent Intel socket mobo (150-250$) or you just get another GTX 560 ti like i did on ebay or elsewhere for 200 or a little more. and save some money. Now i had a 955 but i got a new 990FX Sabertooth AM3+ board and a FX 6100. My mobo supports SLI up to 3 way but my case will only allow 2 in my situation. I recommend SLI if you want to Save a little. All this is up to you but Intel is good, nothing wrong with getting new parts over another GPU. i'm just saying don't expect a huge FPS increase, because although intel's i5 will probably kick the 955's butt. its still a good chip and they would both be quad core. If someone gave me the option between the two......I would SLI. Just because i prefer NVIDIA's GPU acceleration with SLI over spending a little more for just a slight boost.

Now, i can't take full responsibility for my facts. I'm sure some will say i'm completely wrong about this, however i do my research i know what prices look like and compare to.

Did you had any performance improvements in games going from 955 to a FX-6100?
Do you have any benchmarks, numbers to show?
Some people claims that this CPU isn't better than the last gen AMD CPUs... I'm curious to know more about the AMD FX line.

If you have an SLI board, then get another GTX 560 and OC your CPU if you haven't already. If you don't have an SLI board, then you would need a new board anyway so you may as well upgrade to an i7.
