Lowest model card that can run any game 60fps 1080p?

I just bought a 7970 and umm yea the wife is killing me for the purchase. So that being said its going back so I need to know what is the lowest(cheapest) model single card that can pretty much run metro, bf3 and crysis 2 at 1080p?

I guess that depends on what settings you want to use. A gtx 275 will play bf3 at 1920x1080 with low settings. Not sure about AMD cards. I also played with a gtx 460 1GB at 1920x1080 in med/high settings with AA off and maintained 60FPS. You can get one those for around $150.

Then you need to put the pads on because the wife is going to beat you. Just do like she says and tell everyone you fell down the stairs. She has to get tired sometime.

You need a GTX 580.

If you want to play with ultra settings then you are looking at a minimum gtx 570/radeon hd 6970. A gtx 580 is getting close to the cost of the 7970. I think you are going to have to spend at least $300 to for a gpu that will play games like bf3 in ultra at 1920x1080 and I think you still may have to play with some of the settings like turning off AA.

You're talking $500 or above for Ultra @ 1920X 1080 in BF3.

You guys are right. Man this 7970 has spoiled me. I was thinking this 570 at 580 performance
