Hello everyone,

This is the first time I try something like this (I normally buy used PCs and only upgrade disk/memory/graphics card). I own an old IBM Netvista 8305-NUN which looks somehing like this http://www.overstock.com/Electronics/IBM-NetVista-8305-2.4GHz-Desktop-XP-Pro-Computer-Refurbished/3678995/product.html . I an currebtly on a very low budget but I would like to upgrade/mod it. I am thinking about buying this CPU http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=567310&sku=I69-0840 with this motherboard http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1396537&sku=B450-2433

Now I know this is a microATX motherboard. The question I have is : would it fit the Netvista's computer case? Would the power supply be enough for the new motherboard?

I have no manuals for the Netvista, so I don't know if this is a ATX case or anything different (and I know almost nothing about computer cases/power supplies). So I decided to ask you knowledgeable people to give me some advice.

I can provide pictures if needed. Thank you in advance.

Sergio.

Those dont look like they draw much power I would check the power supply and see if it has the full 24 pin main connector and the 4 pin aux on it. If it does not have both of those i can tell you for sure the psu wont work. The crazy power supplys in thoes small machines are usually more money than a new case with some cheap psu (though i don't bet on crappy psu's unless i have to) If it does have the 24 pin + 4 pin post the specs on the side 12+ rail ect... it just may be enough :)
