Hi i have an acer tower and it runs good for a few days but sometimes it runs really slow out of the blue like if im looking a youtube the movie slows down and the sound comes out crackly then i have to restart the computer and its fine again for a few days do you know what could be causing this

I'm not really a fan of Acer, and here is why, they over heat, a lot. Your computer might be getting to hot causing the CPU to throttle (the CPU slows down so it doesn't generate any more heat). If its newer I don't think there's much you can do without voiding the warranty, if its a few years old it's probably past warranty and you could apply thermal past to the heatsink, or replace the heatsink all together.

Have you opened the case and blown the dust bunnies out of it lately?
