Hello,

I recently upgraded to a new i5-2500k CPU and also bought new RAM and heat sink fan to get started on overclocking.
After taking apart the computer and re-assembling everything I couldn't turn it back on anymore. When I press the power switch, nothing happens, no fans come on, no beeps, nothing. I checked and double checked to make sure everything was connected properly, the lights on both the mother board and gpu are lit up green, what's the problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

List your full specs please.

Did you plug in the cpu power?

Did you plug in the gpu power?

This is a double post. Please respond to it in the other thread instead of here.

- Edit - BTW, is Deus Ex as good on Hardcore as it was the first time through? I beat it the first time through, but I didn't play it a second time because its kinda linear.

Yeah it's the same, just the enemies are harder and your more limited on weopon ammo. For instance my main gun the first time through was the assault rifle with laser site, however, I can barely use it on hardcore because I can't find any ammo for it. I'm relying more on my 10mm pistol with silencer and the machine pistol.

I sniped my way through the game the first time.

I don't know if you remember where 20 mercenaries got dropped in on you when you were trying to find the CEO of the news station, but I just hid in a vent and shot at the legs of all those mercs till they were all dead. There were like 20 enemies dead right outside that vent when it was all said and done.

I hated the bosses, though, because I couldn't be a sniper with them. It made me angry to have to play the boss fights completely unlike I played the rest of the game. It wasn't fun for me at all.

I also had fun sneaking up on people and taking them down in close combat too, something else that didn't work on bosses.

That being said, I think I heard that if you just apply every upgrade to the beginning pistol, that it is the best overall weapon. If I played through again I would do that.

Yeah I did the same thing your talking about at the news station, just kept crawling back and forth in the vent shooting legs.

I take the part about the assault rifle ammo back though, seems now I'm getting harder enemies I'm finding plenty of ammo.

Just killed the first boss for the second time, man he was a lot harder to kill this time. Took 1 rocket to the head, 2 frag nades, a emp nade, about 30 headshots with my 10mm (power pack applied) about 50 rounds from my assault rifle, a couple sniper rounds to the head and a couple concussion nades to finally drop him..

The first boss all I did was just keep hitting him with EMP grenades/mines and then stepping out and blasting him while he was down for 10 seconds or whatever. It only took like 4 or 5 emp grenades and full frontal assaults to take him down.

I can only imagine how tough he would be on Hardcore, or those other stupid bosses for that matter.

You know I heard with that first boss, Barrett or whatever his name was, there is a way to get that turret from in that big office environment into his room and you can just let that turret solo him. I would try to do that if I was playing through again too. If I could get that turret in there combined with my emp grenade + full assault plan would probably do pretty well.

Yeah I only had 1 emp nade, so it took me a while to get him down.

Yeah, I like to stock up on those things. I literally look in every single container that I walk by and buy every available one from the weapons dealers that I can and just save them up for boss fights. I never use them for anything else.

Kinda like how I build up to like 10 unspent upgrade points and run around everywhere with them unspent just in case I decide I need something right at that minute. Something that happens a lot in boss fights.
