First of all, please note that this is my first time building a computer :D  , so please excuse the newbie questions :??:
Alright, so i'm working with a Cooler master Storm Scout, and recently, a problem struck me.
While I was looking at the wiring of my fans, i've realized that the Molex connectors from the fans were, somewhat awkward - as in, the connector had the same shape as a Molex, but half the pins are gone, making it so that only one side had pins, and the other was blank.
But first, let me rewind a bit - I have one 120mm LED rear fan, one 140mm LED front fan, and one regular 140mm top fan - if that matters.
The front fan comes with both a small connector with 2 tiny holes, and a full Molex connector. However, the other two, come with the "half Molex" connectors I previously mentioned, while also having the small connector thing, though maybe having three or two tiny holes.
My main question is , can I connect my "regular" Molex power from my Power Supply to the half-Molex's, or do I have to buy some sort of adapter thing?
And a side question; is it required to plug in the side connectors, or are they a separate connector to use if you don't use Molex? Because my Motherboard only comes with a 4 pin fan header.

Any feedback would be deeply appreciated, and I apologize for the long paragraph.

You can plug the molex to the ''half molex'' with no problem. They are made for that. Regarding the second question I don't understand it maybe I'm still sleepy

one side of a molex is 12v and ground, the other side is 5v and ground. A fan only needs 12v so they dont bother wiring up 5v.

without looking at the smaller connectors you have, 2pin small connector could be for speed monitoring or for power. I would say that if it has 1 wire its speed monitoring and two wires its power only.
3 pin small connector is both power and speed monitoring and will work in a 3pin or 4pin motherbd connector.

So if it is power, it means that i won't be using it, if i can use the molex?

Just to add - yellow wire is 12v on Molex, red is 5v. The 2 black wires are Ground for each. Not sure if that helps with anything but hey you just learned something!
