CPU for 3D Rendering workstation

hello guys ,

i am building a workstation dedicated for rendering only i am bit confused between these 2.

Dual intel xeon E5410
Dual opteron 6272

who will perform better. i knw these xeons are old series but i found a reseller for xeons.

which 1 should i go for.

IIRC the xeons outperform the opterons.

i dnt think so i can get 2 opterons instead of buying one xeon wht do u thnk ?

Xeons are going to better at rendering vs the opterons. I would use the opterons for game servers and webservers because they are cheaper but you are rendering so you want faster cores.
