HD movies lags on gtx580 direct cuii

1st of here is my

system specs ---->
LG IPS LED 21.5 Monitor
gtx580 direct cuii
core i7 950
12gb ram
gtx580
Sabertooth x58 mobo
Cougar GX g1050 PSU

My problem is that whenever i watch an HD movie whether its 720p or 1080p the playback seems to be laggish, my kid love to watch animated movies and i notice this lag, its not really that noticeable but still it annoys me thought my GPU is powerful enough.

Sometimes i watch HD documentaries and forward it where i stop, it takes sometime to play if its in the middle or near end of the movie.

I wonder if it has something to do with my PSU as its DC output is 25A, but 2 pcie plug is connected on my gpu so i think that would be enough..

My GPU driver is up to date. I wonder if someone has the problem.

Which gpu driver? Try the beta ones.

graphic driver version is 285.62 the latest version from nvidia

Update your CODECS and try defragging your harddrive.

What player are you using have you tried multiple playback software?

Do you have issues when gaming or benchmarking? It seems to be a software related problem, try using different media players like VLC, KMplayer.
