SMS ringtone too soft

I sold my Nokia 8250 and got myself a Sony-Ericsson T630. I now miss the
8250 because the SMS ringtones in the T630 are hopelessly soft and short,
wheres some of the those in the 8250 can be heard 2 rooms away.

I've checked out a Siemen's SMS ringtone and those too were way too soft as
well.

Are all mobile phones that support polyphonic ringtones that hopelessly soft
when it comes to SMS ringtone? I heard that the new Nokia 6230 is pretty
good. What about the loudness of it's SMS ringtones?
