Hi I have been wanting to upgrade my PC and I don't know which to get. Im very young and have a tight budget for graphic cards. The two cards I'm interested in are and;

I am not going to overclock and is the 100$ extra worth it for the 6950?

The 6850 and 6950 are good cards with quite a bit of OC room, since you aren't looking to overclock a 6870 has very good stock performance, (not that the other two don't) and usually only costs 10-20 more than a 6850. For that extra bit of cash you get roughly a 20% boost in performance depending on the game.

The 6870 is a great compromise-The only reason you would buy a 6950 is if you're trying to play games like BF3/Skyrim/Other new games at Ultra or close-to-Ultra settings, on a monitor that is at least 1920x1080. If you don't need Ultra settings or don't have a huge monitor, the 6870 is a great recommendation by these guys.

Sorry for late reply, had school, but thanks I am going to get the one that esrever recommended. I am going to be playing BF3 and Skyrim and max and my monitor is 1280x1024.

yes the one I recommended will work well. should have no problem playing at 1280x1024 for any game.
