XP Professional OS doesn't load

1) Boot failed. It seems like the XP Os is loading. Takes about 4 minutes or longer and finally it says Win32%......drivers% failed. Insert the original CD and repair pressing R but doesn't take original CD too.
2) Can't install even fresh windows. Boot menu also dowsn't take the opbion of Boot brom CD.

Is this a commercial XP disk, a copied disk, or a downloaded disk?

Also, how old is the system in question? When your boot menu doesn't show the optical drive as an option, it could indicate a hardware problem with the optical drive. Check your cables to make sure they are securely fastened. You can also have dirt/dust inside the optical drive.

You can clean optical drives with a cleaner disk and a can of compressed air. Or, you can replace the optical drive (it is both inexpensive and easy in most systems).

Please clarify.
