-B450-0970 ::BIOSTAR TA970XE AMD 9 Series Motherboard - ATX, Socket AM3+, AMD 970 Chipset, 2000MHz DDR3 (O.C.), SATA III
(6Gb/s), RAID, 8-CH Audio, Gigabit LAN, USB 3.0, CrossFireX Ready

-TSD-500ST ::Seagate ST500DM002 Barracuda 3.5" Internal Hard Drive - 500GB, SATA-6G, 7200, 16MB

-A79-4170 ::AMD FD4170FRGUBOX FX-4170 Processor - Quad Core, 8MB L3 Cache, 4MB L2 Cache, 4.20GHz

-C19-6143 ::Crucial Ballistix BLS2KIT4G3D1339DS1S0 Desktop Memory Kit - 8GB (2x 4GB), PC3-10600, DDR3-1333MHz, 240-pin DIMM, 1.5V, CL9, Non-ECC, Unbuffered

-H231-6792 ::HIS H679F1GD Radeon HD 6790 Video Card - 1GB, GDDR5, PCI-Express 2.1 (x16), Dual-DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, DirectX 11, Dual-Slot, CrossFireX Ready, Eyefinity

the 6790 isnt worth the money, go for a 6850 or 6870, or cheaper option a 7770. At Tigerdirect the 6850 and 6870 are a lot more than a 6790, a 7770 will prob preform better than a 6790. Also i have a 6770, and my friend has a 450 gts, he gets better fps on BF3 by like 5 on high settings. In benchmark rating from passmark, the 6770 is 350-400 better, and he gets higher frames. So if u want gaming fps, I'd maybe go for the higher end AMD (6850-6870) or get a nvidia 550 ti which will prob get way better fps than a 6790. Tigerdirect has a 550 ti for cheaper than the 6790 as well. (Im not to sure of the nvidia over the amd ones from the benchmark ratings, but from wat i seen with nvidia vs amd in games like bf3 the fps is usually slight higher but not sure) something to look into

On other note than video card, the cpu cooler, go with a Cooler Master 212 plus/evo.

RAM try for 1600MHz over 1333.

I have no experience with a FX processor, but with wat ive heard is a 965 Phenom II BE is better choice, and tiger direct has one cheaper and will work with ur am3+ motherboard, and if u want 6 cores which personally i would take the clock speed loss and do, even tho games dont benefit from those cores theres a 1045T. I have a 1055T, when i coulda got a quad 955 BE love the 6 cores lol. 965 OEM (no heatsink fan) only $105, and 1045T (6 core) $130.

Im not to big on Biostar, never owned one and prob wont, but my preference is ASUS or MSI, from tiger directs list and choice would be a M5A97 ASUS.

Spend the extra money and get the 1Tb, should be around $90.

If u dont wanna change anything, everything u have listed above will work fine.

* Side note - Newegg has some more options and cheaper prices on motherboards, and video cards. but with getting a Phenom II X4/X6, tiger direct has more of them. after rebate neweggs prices to tigerdirects is a lot better on the 6850/6870/7770, and no rebate same price on the 6790.

No, you will not need a sound card. I would also pick a better PSU, like a Corsair brand one.

corsair or OCZ 600 watt, is usually on sale at newegg for $40 with rebate reliable and good. or the 700 watt is like $10 more
