Amd And Nvidia? Please help!

Hello everyone!

So i have:
Phenom ii x4 980
Hd 6950 2gb
16gb
1tb black
asrock 890fx am3+ w/ 3 pcie

I was recently give my brothers old computer witch im currently using as a server.

Although, It had a GTX 550ti 1gb video card in it witch i now have sitting around. Is there anyway i could have a use for this card? PhysX?
Also, The video encoder built into 11.12 CCC is 'meh'... Is there any programs out there that utilize the power of cuda to encode video decently?

most encoders use CUDA, though you will have to look at the program specs to know for sure.

yes , some program can use cuda, and some game can use phyx, and you can use both nvidia and ati cards together (ati as main card and nvidia as dedicated phyx) by applying simple mods to nvidia drivers.
