Hi friends,
I am new to this forum & i am from coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. This is my first build. My purpose is for 3D softwares like 3DS Max, Maya and VFX softwares like After effects, Fusion and Combustion. Also i play games like Prince of Persia, Batman: Arkham city, BF3, Assassin's Creed series. My budget is around 1000$. After several researches in the site like anandtech, newegg, tom's hardware, PC world, i finally came to the following specification.

Intel i5 - 2500k
Intel DZ68DB
Corsair Vengeance DDR3 8GB
Nvidia Geforce GTX 560ti GDDR5
Cooler Master Elite 430
Zebronics 600W platinum
Samsung S20B300 LED
Seagate 1TB

Will this config support my purpose? Kindly give ur valuable suggestions. The place where i live here, this config costs me around 1035$.

In terms of intensive multiple tasking like 3Dsoftwares you better get the i7-2600k or the 3rd gen 3770k, if its not available you can always OC your 2500k to do the job, in terms of gaming the 2500k is plenty.....so its very simple, you can afford more get the 2600k or the 3770k, you can't, get the 2500k and a decent CPU Cooler...

It depends how much work you plan on getting done in 3DS - with that gear you'll be waiting for a long time to render simple scenes, and just working with models will be annoying very quickly. Forget about adding lighting texture maps and stuff, you'll be waiting for days.

I would seriously suggest you wait until you can afford at least $2300 to spend - that will ensure a good working environment in 3DS, and of course games as well.

If you are going with what you suggested, then you can save some money and get the i5-2500, with your video card, you don't need the on-board except if you plan on running 2 monitors.
