Hello, I currently have a Nvidia GeForce 9100 in my HP model p6152f. I need to upgrade to be able to handle SWTOR, which I'm sure lots of people are asking for help on.
Obviously I don't want to spend too much, but really I just want to make sure whatever I do buy will fit and work with the comp I already have.
Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks

Any meaningful video upgrade will also require a power supply upgrade as yours is only 300 watt. You could probably squeak by with a AMD 6670 card on your existing power supply, but this would limit you to medium settings at lower resolutions. If you are OK with that, I would give it a try. Any brand AMD card except for Power Color would be acceptable with MSI and Sapphire being the best.

Sorry, in good conscience I can only recommend 80 plus certified or better power supplies. Any of these will do the job, without breaking the bank. Note the price after rebate. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submit=Property&N=100007657&IsNodeId=1&Manufactory=1697%2C1919%2C2031%2C1516%2C1669%2C1550%2C1400&PropertyCodeValue=1314%3A58383%2C1314%3A58388%2C1314%3A58389%2C1314%3A58393%2C1314%3A58395%2C4097%3A30089%2C4097%3A43845&bop=And&CompareItemList=58|17-371-034^17-371-034-TS%2C17-371-046^17-371-046-TS%2C17-207-018^17-207-018-TS

Basically, cheap power supplies can be fine for basic low power integrated graphics systems. Beyond that, they are not trustworthy. More watts does not equal quality. In short, if you are going to cheap out on the power supply, you might as well save yourself some time and money by throwing your computer in the garbage today.

With that PSU you can buy any single card on the market today, including the very top ones. The XFX is very powerful and of excellent quality. and, having the extra wattage will not hurt anything. Your PSU will not use any more than it needs and is just as efficient at low medium and high loads.

The 6670 will still be a huge upgrade from what you have now.
