If you build your own computer, you'll get MUCH better value for money, and a better performing computer with easy upgrade paths!

I'm not sure where you're going with the radiation thing.. I have no idea where you heard that

Hope this helps! Need any help with the specs of building your own PC, lemme know!

Well there's pros and cons to building your own system. The biggest pro is that you get a system that's as upgradable as you want for several years - way longer than the average big box system will last. The problem with big box systems is that they use so much proprietary and watered down hardware that it makes upgrading incredibly difficult or in some cases near impossible. The biggest con with building your own system is that you're on your own for technical support.

Here's a sample $700 build I typically recommend:

Case: Cooler Master Elite 430 - $59.99 ($10.00 MIR)
PSU: Corsair CX600 V2 - $69.99 ($20.00 MIR)
Motherboard: Asrock Z68 Extreme 3 Gen 3 - $121.99
CPU: 3.30GHz Intel Core i3-2120 - $127.99
RAM: 8GB G.Skill Ripjaw X 1600MHz 1.5V - $46.99
HD: 500GB Western Digital Caviar Blue - $84.99
Optical: Lite On Bulk DVD Burner - $17.99
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 - $149.99 ($15.00 MIR)

Total: $672.92 - $45.00 MIR = $627.92
