Broke Cpu pins help!

ok so i removed my fan and heat sink bc there was sooo much dust build up around my cpu. The cpu was connected to the heatsink and i accidently bent a whole lot of cpu pins and now it wont go back in, i straighten most of them but it still wont go in so i think that the cpu is lost. It was an athlon 64 x2 3600 so the computer was kinda old and i didnt really use it but i had important stuff on there. i couldnt find any of the same cpus online is there another cpu that i can buy? it was a socket am2.

Try buying from a trusted seller off ebay for around £30.

If you have another pc, then you can always take the hard drive and take all the files from your old pc to the new one.
