Hi guys,

Just wanted your opinion on my new build. i wont be doing any overclocking, i just need a solid build

Asus m4a88t-m
CoolerMaster Elite 430 case
Seagate 2tb harddrvie
AMD phenom ii x6 1045t
12gb ram
OCZ ZS Series 650W psu
Geforce GT 430
12x dvd drive

planning on adding
SSD drive
blueray drive

Basically all i will be doing on this PC is internet use, light gaming, and blueray play back

bit of overkill on the ram, maybe you can downgrate that and get a better graphics card

For your use that'll work. At least you stayed away from the FX's - good move on your part. If you were shooting for a higher purpose, I'd try to steer you to the i5. In your case it's not needed. $70.00 saved is big in todays economy.

switch to xfx pro 550w psu.it's a better choice.
get x4 955 deneb.6 core isn't worth the cost and also add a hyper 212+ if you are planning to overclock.

Will Downgrading the RAM give me better performance? I was under the impression that more RAM is better..Sorry a bit new to building

yeah 680 is a really great gpu.28nm which means it runs cooler,less power consumption and more overclocking,all of these=ultimate FUN!!!

Yes I agree. We may be about to enter a cycle where "green" does to "red" what Intel did.
